Last Days of April (Why Me? sessions)

about

Recorded by Anthony, Pat and Adam in March of 2000. Why Me? was a "famous" local punk studio in the God awful woods of New Jersey. The day was miserable, I remembered my JCM 800 combo blew it's tubes the minute we plugged it in. So the guitars were recorded from a bass amp at the studio.

The Korg poly 800 synth also blew a fuse when it was plugged in, so we ended using another random synth at the studio.

The drum kit was a killer 1960's Ludwig.

This was our first time in a real recording studio (16 track tape I believe) and it was an amazing learning experience. The owner of Why Me? whose name escapes me now taught us the 1-2-3-pause count off we ended up using in all of our recordings. The "4" was omitted because it was a pain to get that empty space on tape (not really, but that's what he told us)

This version of this song is the most punk rock we could manage. The snare drum sounds like a gun shot.
